Ode to Dad

You are the clarinet,
but you can't play it with a
broken elbow.
so you wear that elbow pad of yours(actually your brothers).
Whenever some one yells,"Black," I think of it.
You enjoy cookies in Tahoe on the lake, after you put the boat away.
You drive there from the west, to the east.
You play monopoly with me, and I glance up.
A shirt of a model airplane is on it.
Before we play though,
you milk out of the fridge.
It reminds me of the white snowy happiness at Squaw Valley.
If you were a day of the week,
you would be monday
like  a redwood tree.
In the morning you take a shower at 7:25 and then find your
CLOSET!
I always find junk in it(no offense),
but I like to I guess explore it that way.
You are always caring and supportive,
and that's why you're my dad.

Ode to my cousin

"Mills!" you exclaim as you run in the room to greet me
You are a sunny day with a rainbow
Your polka dot t-shirt you always wear
Your prom dress hangs in your closet just begging to be worn by me but of course it doesn't fit
I always laugh imagining your face as you got that crazy im from that boy who keeps trying to ask you out
your mad obsession with robert pattinson
how you always say LYLAS as I leave the room love you like a sister
I LYLAS

Mean Ode (guess who he is)

The one who annoys me, swats at me, but gives to me, the one who I want to swat at; sometimes. the one who doesn't play the game fair, but plays it well. the person who does not understand so he sulks, the one who makes me angry like a spicy pepper. The guy who is as violent as a praying mantis.

Ode To Emily

Like the sound of a clarinet blowing to the end
But also frantically trying to signal an incoming tsunami
Like an old worn out hammock That's been used on many Saturdays
For some tea and a good book
A punk queen
With a very sophistacated vocabulary
A fashion idol
Who understands everything
When no one else bothers
Agreeing to disagree
Always encouraging
Puts it out there

Ode to my cat

Your meow is like a broken lyre on a Saturday morning.
Your fur is like a scarf on a cold day that warmed me up.
You are a beanbag that plays Sorry using your clawless paws.
Too bad you're not here to be annoying, purring and surprising.

Ode to my mom

You remind me of a Saturday morning in a guitar on the beach in a house.
You remind me of the light blue in the sky on a mid summers eve.
You remind me of a redwood towering over all of the others in the night.
You remind me of a ladybug on a poppy in the middle of the day.
You remind me of the world on a happy day when were all happy in the breeze.

Ode to Daddio

You remind me of a Saturday morning and the color white like a baseball
When I see you, you wear shorts and under armor
If you were a dessert then you would be chocolate
You remind me of the cherry tree in the front yard of our old house
If I look in your closet I will find four or more years worth of fall ball t-shirts and two years of giants hats
You are like a sunny day with cloudy laughter
If you were a time then you would be noon, sitting down and watching a baseball game
You're like a used couch yet not used so much as to be torn
Sometimes you are like a fire going through the house and setting everybody else alight
You're like the ocean when we go to the beach
you're calm and loving and we all don't fight
Three words to describe you would be:
Baseball
Sports and
Living
You are like a game of monopoly
Are you winning?
yes you are
wait!
no you aren't
Sometimes your happy sometimes your sad
But you are always my Loving, Caring, Awesome

Ode to a friend!

You're like a game of twister
always getting mixed up and having a fun time
You're a midnight sky
in a summers rain
You're a hurricane when you're mad but only wants fairness
You reminding me of bright pink and and dark purple
You have the energy of craziness on a sunny
afternoon at 3:27  p.m on a Wednesday
You have an amazing personality that shines like the sun
You are my best friend
Maddy, loving, relaxing, and full of talent

left out

there is a new born in the house
all of the attention is building up on her and only her
no one said a single word to me like I'm invisible
they walk right through me like I'm no good anymore
I guess I'm a invisible child

Ode to Dad

your are the golden trumpet to my ears
you are the redwood tree that hangs over to protect me
your color is like a fire of red and yellow of warmth
you are the key to happiness
and your the loving father of a family

Ode to MOM

You are the Redwood Tree that stands out among the others
You are the chocolate pie that is perfect and ready every day
You are the helping hand of the world
You are as strong as a tiger ready to strike
You live on the blue house on Mom Avenue
You always go in the right direction

Ode to Mark

your like the strings of a soft guitar
whose Eyes are bright on a cold summer morning
it seems to me the longest time since I have seen the speed of your heart
racing to win , to have fun
and your heart never says stop.
like a twinkling light holding on to the future
you go out to the fields feeling 20 again,
we cheer for you saying:"go daddy go go daddy daddy"
every time you get injured but your always in a good mood
it seems to me like your guiding me through luck.

Ode to my Aunt Michelle

She moves her hands,
her fingers,
her elbows and arms
to talk to that boy over
there, who can't hear a word.
She may talk to him with the
movement of her hands
but to me she talks
in a voice of elegance and beauty.
To her four parakeets and two rabbits
she talks in a soothing, hushed voice,
like waking up at six- thirty
in the morning to go for a swim.
To the world she talks in
a voice of peace and justice,
love and sweetness,
kind and brave.

Ode to Shay

Shay, my little prince, you sit up in the high branches of a willow tree grooming your silky and handsome grey fur. Your speed and energy like 888 rockets helps you catch mice at 183 Morning Sun avenue on a misty morning in May. Your calm deep in thought face reminds me of a stream of  catnip and treats. When you rub your face agents my cheek affectionately, it feels like a cashmere blanket of happy thoughts. Your liking for my small toy sticky gecko that sticks to the ceiling amazes me. You rule the castle of my dreams as well as the castle of my heart. You bravery, handsomeness, and mightiness keeps you as prince of the best land in the world.
Shay, my little prince, the hero of my world.

Heart's Book Of World Records

The saddest thing is the sound of an old man
playing guitar to people on the street.

The sweetest thing is the song of a brightly
colored parrot standing on a leaf-bare branch.

The grossest thing is a sqaushed bug sitting
on your window sill.

The wierdest thing is when your hair stands
up on end when you touch the slide on a hot
day.

The calmest thing is reading a book in your
favorite tree.

Ode To Claire

Your name is like a tightly woven cloth.
It comes together specially,
And cannot be put any other way.
Your amber eyes gleam as you show your teeth.
When I dream,
I dream of you.
Because you're Claire,
NOt somenone else!

EXTRA SKIN

The wrinkliest thing in the world is a  wrinkly old man running the marathon with his extra skin flapping behind him
The roundest thing is a sugar glazed jelly doughnut sitting on my plate at the beach.
The smoothest thing is a shiny skipping stone gliding on starlit water
The wisest thing is a large barn owl swooping downward with it's eyes as large as the moon
The smallest thing is a grain of sand waiting to be brought to shore
The deepest thing is a 1 1/2 inch deep puddle, it's cold, wet darkness making it seem 1,00,00 feet deeper

Nicole's hearts book of world records

The truest thing is the warmth from a hug that your mother gave you on a cold winter day, as you were sitting by the fire.

The calmest thing is some mint tea while reading a book in your bed on a breezy Saturday morning.

The sweetest thing is a piece of warm carmel on a misty Thursday afternoon at 3:00pm watching my favorite tv cartoons.

The friendliest thing is a book with adventure and mystery, it's excitement and it's ability to make your heart stop at any moment.

The most questionable thing is green water with pink dots all over and when you smell it , it smells like cotton candy at a baseball game.

The strangest thing is a yellow blueberry that tastes like a strawberry lollipop, but the second time it tastes like jello and the third time it tastes like paper, and the fourth time, well there probably won't be a fourth time.

The most gooey thing is a piece of bubblegum stuck in a young girls hair and she tries to get it out with peanut butter it just gets it smelly too.
The most annoying thing is people not listening and destroying valuable things.
The fastest snail is the snail who sees that time goes slow.
The most good feeling is eating lasagna on a winters night.
The weirdest thing is me.

IDK book of heart records

The worst thing is the Nuggets losing a basketball game.
The most fun thing is filming.
The coldest thing is eating popsicles on a cold day after something warm. Brr.

Like Surprising me sometimes with Lucazade and British candy sometimes.
Like always making jokes with me and Andrew.

ODE TO COCO

Coco you are like a sunny day and a game of fetch.

Ode to Dad

You are like a guitar on Saturday.
You remind me of 50, Sicamore.
You are like blue vanilla ice cream.
You are like a redwood tree with clothes.
You are like a sunny happy day with cheese.
You are like running at 6:13.22.5 am.
You are like a new chair with a thimble.
You are like global warming in a puddle.
You are like marine world in the north south.
You are like a pair of pants getting happening started.
You like a paruvian death pepper on a monopoly game board.

Dad

Who calls me Matteo
Who says hello in the early morning light
Who's eyes are brown like a sleek dog
Who's hair is short like a saturday
Who is human in every good way
Who wants only happiness
I'd tell you that you're awesome
I'd give you a star
wrapped in a golden cloth

Hearts book of world records

in a pile of it's own feathers
with it's head partly ripped off by a cat

Ode to John

When you get home from work you you look like a hired piano player, with your grey suit and black shoes. You act like the musician you are when you finally settle down on the bench and press the keys of your favorite song. Countless music books all falling to pieces from hundreds of pages being turned. Suit flapping, you light the candles on a late Friday night.

Ode To Grandma

You are like a Violin playing in the sunset
You are a quite street named Laverne
You are the color of blue as soft and as kind as a lake shimmering in the sunlight
The day Sunday is what you are if you were a day of the week
When you look inside you your a cherry tree with a craving for soft pudding with whipped cream
When your a natural disaster you are a fire of colorfulness
There is only one kind of animal that fits you
It is a black short hair kitten
You are England
You are like sugar in the refrigerator next to the lemon cake
You are the meaning of love
